Your body holds your destiny

It is a breakthrough in our understanding of ourselves and our place in the world to discover that our body has access to information beyond what the mind can understand. The body feels the world energetically. The body feels and the mind thinks; these are two different ways of obtaining information. When we rely only on the mind and our logic we close ourselves off to a huge source of information. We become partial selves and cannot fully feel what we should be doing in life. You could call this too much thinking and not enough feeling. In my new book Quantum Warrior – The Future of the Mind I explain how one of the mythic titles of the body is Navigator to our Destiny. The reason it has this title is that we can only find our true destiny by trusting and following our instincts and feelings. It is this faculty that will reveal these insights to us not our mind. This is backed by scientific experiments; one experiment was by neuroscientist Antonio Damasio who devised a test that measured our ability to process information. He found that the body can feel and process information many times faster than the mind. In other words our gut feelings and hunches should be listened to. The body influences rational thought without our even being aware of the process. Is this good news? You bet it is. We, as human beings, are multi dimensional beings with a conscious mind, a subconscious, a soul and a BODY and this body is capable of guiding us in all areas of our life if we tune into it. Trust and act upon what your deep feelings are telling you and you will be led in extraordinary directions.

Science Suspects Time Travel is Possible

Let me share with you the most explosive scientific finding that happened in 2011. Within weeks of publishing my new book “Quantum Warrior – The Future of the Mind” scientists have discovered a particle that travels faster than the speed of light and are now speculating that we may someday be able to time travel.

In one of my chapters, Quantum Time, I discuss how past and future are happening simultaneously in the quantum world and how we can go back in time to help our selves in the past as well as access knowledge from our future selves to help us now. I know it sounds crazy but I have been doing this very effectively for a number of years and explain it fully in my book. What I didn’t have at the time of publication was scientific proof to verify that this is indeed possible.

Well… On September 23, the Cern Institute in Geneva held a press conference to announce that they had conducted an experiment where the neutrino, a most elusive particle, had been measured traveling faster than the speed of light. Using sophisticated instruments including advanced GPS systems and atomic clocks they measured the time it took for blasts of neutrinos to travel from the Cern Institute in Geneva to an underground laboratory at Gran Sasso, 700 km (450 miles) away. Why is this important? When things go faster than the speed of light they have the potential to go back in time. For example an observer traveling past a swift flying neutrino would witness the particle hurtling backwards in time and appear at its destination before beginning its journey. This sounds like science fiction but it is exactly what I suggested could happen in Quantum Warrior | The Future of the Mind.

“This result comes as a complete surprise,” said spokesman Antonio Ereditatio of the Cern Institute. Yes, and many more surprises are in store for us as we unravel the mystery of space, time and consciousness. We are far greater than any of us can possibly imagine and our abilities to act in extraordinary ways are just beginning to be revealed to us. What an exciting time to be alive.

Want changes in your life in 2012? What are you going to do about it?

It is the end of the second week of 2012, the very beginning of a new year. My wife Sylvia and I always use this time of year to reflect upon the previous year’s accomplishments and disappointments, the journey of a year lived creatively with intentions—at least hopefully creatively. To view each year as a whole, complete unto itself with a beginning, middle and end, has great value, as it allows us to view the year objectively. Often we are amazed at how different a year turns out, as compared to what we had expected. Each year has its own surprises and adventures. Marking each year this way also allows us to begin again, to take the lessons and experiences of the previous year and build upon them. Pop artist Andy Warhol had a great saying: “They say that time changes things, but actually you have to change them yourself.” There is a valuable message in this saying. A year will certainly change things, but mostly we have to change them ourselves. This year will be molded by our thoughts, beliefs and actions. If we get this process right, we can expect good things to happen, rather than accepting the occurrences that come via random chance. Fortune follows the bold, and so we should be bold in our expectations. I have high expectations for this year. I am using my thoughts in a positive way. What are your expectations about this year? How are you using your thoughts?

2012 is the 25th anniversary of the publication of the original Mind Power book, as well as the launch of my new book Quantum Warrior – The Future of the Mind, so I am doing a number of talks and workshops around the world. You can go to our website for more information.

I am thinking of all of you and imagining the best for you. Thank you for all the feedback last year; this website is here because I have you as an audience. I will continue to be a support for you, to encourage you to be your best. It is important that each of us believes in ourselves and follows through on our intentions to be the best we can be. When we do this we bless not just ourselves but the world around us. This is my wish and projection for 2012; that each of us becomes our best.

Our body is a navigator to our destiny

Our body is our navigator to our destiny. One of the mystic titles of the body (from Quantum Warrior – The Future of the Mind) is navigator to our destiny. Only our body can reveal our destiny to us. Our mind can try to “figure out” what is our destiny but this is not how we find it. We discover our destiny by trusting our feelings and letting them guide us to do what “feels right.” We should always ask ourselves “Does it feel right?” in every major decision in our life and if it doesn’t question ourselves as to why we are making this decision. Body wisdom is the wisdom of knowing without using our mind. It is intuitive, connecting us to our deeper selves and far more reliable than logic.

How successful people make decisions

Successful people have a good intuition and rely on their gut feelings to help them make decisions. They trust and use this faculty, which resides in the body not the mind. Our mind can try to “figure out” what is the best course of action but when this is combined with what our body feels is right we discover that we make better decisions listening to both. Our mind is not always correct. When making decisions we should always ask ourselves “Does it feel right?” and if it doesn’t question ourselves as to why we are making this decision. Intuition is the wisdom of knowing without using our mind. Some times we must lose our mind in order to make a good decision.

Thanksgiving

It’s Thanksgiving Day in the United States and this is my favorite holiday. We celebrate Thanksgiving a month earlier in Canada and I posted a blog on that day so I thought I would re-post it with some additions. The reason Thanksgiving Day comes a month earlier in Canada is that is colder here and our harvest comes sooner. The holiday originates from when the pilgrims came to North America, survived their brutal first winter, planted their crops and had their first harvest. It was indeed a time for celebration.
What a wonderful concept for a holiday: a time to celebrate and give thanks for what we have, a time to count our blessings and feel gratitude. The name says it all; Thanksgiving Day.
Gratitude is a very powerful vibration and is extremely beneficial for us. We should practice being thankful for many things. It aligns us with the positive forces of the universe. When we vibrate with gratitude we set in motion energies that reflect positively back to us and creates more things in our life to be grateful for. It blesses and nourishes us deeply. So for this Thanksgiving weekend let us give thanks for what we have, who we are and everything that is positive in our life. Let us ask ourselves, what do we have to be grateful for and resonate our thanks silently in our hearts. For those of you around the world that do not celebrate this holiday officially, nothing is stopping you from doing it in your hearts.
I would like to take this opportunity to give thanks for my thousands of readers and followers who are dedicated to being their best. Through this website we are a community and I honor our relationship.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Remembering

Today is Veterans Day in the US and Remembrance Day elsewhere. A day of remembering and acknowledging the millions of individuals who have given their life in the line of duty for our freedom and democracy. We in the western world often forget how lucky we are to live in a democracy, where each person has the right and freedom to pursue their individual goals no matter what they may be. We take this freedom for granted but there are still many in the world living under tyranny and dictatorship and do not have the freedom and opportunities we possess. Freedom and democracy are wonderful gifts and so on this day we remember, acknowledge and give thanks for those who have allowed this to happen for us. Our life is better because of those who have made the sacrifice to defend freedom and democracy. On this day, let us put aside our personal problems and difficulties for a moment or hour and remember these individuals. To those known and unknown heroes, thank you.

Importance of Eliminating Negative Thinking

Over the next few months we’ll be reposting some of John’s favourite articles from the past ten years on our blog. This post on negative thinking first appeared on our website on September 10, 1997.

Our topic for September is the importance of eliminating negative thinking. Eliminating negative thinking is not simply about having a good attitude or feeling good or being positive just for the sake of being positive, although all these things have their benefits. It goes much deeper than that. The student of Mind Powers recognizes that thoughts are real forces and that how we think directly affects the things that happen to us.  Continue reading
